Group Controller (f/m)

What you can expect:
  • In this position you will act as a sparring partner for business managers with regards to all financial aspects
  • You’ll perform analysis and create a controlling opinion on bank initiatives and steering activities
  • Develop an independent view on business decisions from finance perspective
  • You challenge trends, forecasts and budgets, identify threats and potentials,
    develop measures and follow-up their implementation, identify risks
    and optimise measures
  • You’ll support and accompany projects from a finance perspective
  • Proactive participation in the planning and budgeting process (midterm plan, forecast,
  • You conduct unit, business line and product comparisons and prepare internal and external benchmarks
  • You’ll closely cooperate with all responsible persons in headoffice and countries,
    occasionally visit NWU countries (controlling, local management)
  • Monitoring of network banks/business lines and products ("health checks") considering
    all relevant controlling parameters

What you bring to the table:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the field of Controlling/Finance, or bank analysis
    related topics
  • University degree with business background (e.g. business, economics, etc.)
  • Economic understanding of banking industry and products; knowledge of regulatory
    and accounting standards advantageous
  • IT affinity, very good MS Office user knowledge and good command of data evaluation
    tools and techniques
  • Analytical, result-oriented and structured way of working
  • Very strong communication and presentation skills
  • Flexible and dynamic personality, ability to work in a team, resilience, autonomous
    working methods
  • Very good command of English, German is appreciated, but not mandatory
