Head of Internal Controls (f/m/x)  

Are you an expert in the regulatory jungle of Internal Control System (ICS) & Integrated Regulatory Compliance (IRC) according to § 39 (6) BWG topics? Do you have the technical knowledge to implement these topics? Do you have a passion for leading people and driving the culture? What you can expect
  • Continuous development of the ICS/IRC framework in order to fulfill regulatory requirements and reflect market standards
  • You advise and challenge divisions and subsidiaries with your expertise regarding the implementation of the ICS/IRC framework
  • Together with your team you present ICS and IRC updates and reports to Operational Risk & Controls Committee, Management & Supervisory Boards
  • You lead complex data analysis projects, give guidance to junior colleagues and other stakeholders
  • You will drive continuous development/improvement of the IT system of the ICS and IRC frameworks by evolving market standards and leading practices for the whole RBI Group
  • You will inspire, not merely direct, by empowering your team members
  • You will provide context, support, feedback and guidance to enable the team to grow and work towards given context

What you bring on the table
  • Proven track record in a leading position in banking or similar with special emphasis on Control/Risk/Governance topics with focus on regulatory, financial reporting & operational risks
  • Experience with analytical, data driven approaches, especially statistical/AI models of advantage
  • Hands-on experience in adaptive approaches; a thinking ahead mentality, curiosity and eagerness to act in a highly demanding environment
  • Desire to constantly challenge the status quo and to innovate
  • Ability to structure and prioritize work and effectively manage time
  • High negotiation skills and ability to balance diverging interests
  • Role model as a leader for RBI values (Collaboration, Proactivity, Learning, Responsibility)
  • Fluent knowledge of English and German, CEE language is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel
