The RBI Group IT GmbH provides IT services for RBI’s Austrian subsidiaries (i.e. Raiffeisen Capital Management, Raiffeisen Bausparkasse, Valida Pensionskasse) and is focused on the core IT applications of these business units.  

Head of Team Application Management (f/m)

The Head of Team (f/m) helps shaping the organization towards an adaptive model, closely co-operates with business units and IT delivery units for alignment, ensures the delivery of a comprehensive IT application management and provides the specific know-how in business applications and technology with the team.

What you can expect:

  • Coaching, mentoring and leading a team of up to 15 application managers
  • Guide the team members on their journey towards agile working methods
  • Contribute to the adaptive organization as a chapter lead, provide best practices and standards, ensure alignment, closely co-operate with all stakeholders
  • Deliver homogenous and comprehensive IT application management
  • Develop and foster the specific IT capabilities needed for the subsidiaries’ core applications on technical and application level
  • Provide stability and scalability for the growing IT demands of the Austrian subsidiaries
  • Align technology and infrastructure with the subsidiaries’ core application needs, establish and drive synergies on a shared layer
  • Contribute to RBI group IT projects, take responsibility for work packages and project streams, analyze, plan and implement IT projects for Austrian subsidiaries
  • Manage IT providers and external partners to achieve agreed project goals and service levels

What you bring to the table:

  • 7+ years of professional experience, preferably experience in team management
  • Adequate technical education (technical school or university degree)
  • Solid understanding of state-of-the-art IT trends and technologies
  • Very good to-the-point communication and presentation skills, strong result orientation, structured and team oriented working style
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to establish and expand relationships
  • Conflict management, stress-resilience, flexibility, team and customer orientation
  • Banking know how is an additional asset
  • Good command of German and English
