Senior Independent Validation Specialist (f/m/x)

Join our Group Risk Data Integration team at RBI, where we ensure adherence to the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision’s (BCBS) principles for risk data aggregation and reporting. We are seeking an individual with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with deep expertise in risk management, data analysis, and regulatory compliance.

 Your role at RBI  

  • Ensure Compliance: Independently validate the accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness of risk data aggregation capabilities and risk reporting practices in line with BCBS 239 principles, relevant regulatory standards, and internal regulations.
  • Conduct Assessments: Perform thorough reviews and assessments of the bank’s methods, processes, and systems related to risk data aggregation and reporting, identifying potential compliance vulnerabilities and risks.
  • Develop Action Plans: Create and implement corrective action plans for identified compliance issues, while providing preventive guidance to improve future practices.
  • Report Progress: Regularly prepare and deliver detailed reports to senior management and other stakeholders, keeping them informed about the ongoing compliance efforts and progress.

Your core competencies

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field. An advanced degree or certification (e.g., FRM, CFA) is of advantage.  
  • Extensive knowledge of BCBS 239 principles and other relevant banking regulations.  
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a banking or financial institution.  
  • Strong business analytical skills with a high level of technical proficiency.  
  • Understanding of Modern Architecture Principles in a banking context.  
  • Exceptional analytical skills for assessing and interpreting complex data.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly and concisely.
