Group Strategy Manager (f/m/x)

RBI is a regional bank focused on Central & Eastern Europe and strives to redefine banking by blending traditional services with innovative solutions. We are on the hunt for a grounded, yet forward-thinking Strategy Manager to join our Strategy Development team and help us deliver on our vision to be the most recommended financial services group.
 
The Strategy Development team is responsible for setting RBI Group’s strategic direction via defining and preserving the long-term Group target picture and corporate strategy; monitoring trends to identify topics of strategic relevance for RBI Group and assess related opportunities; analyzing and developing options to improve RBI’s strategic positioning across entities, segments and products.
 
As Strategy Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the future strategic direction of the bank by contributing to the above objectives via driving high-impact strategic projects across the full scope of RBI Group’s activities to ensure the bank remains competitive and resilient in a rapidly changing environment.

 Your role at RBI

  • Market analyses, identification of topics of strategic relevance for RBI Group and assessment of related business opportunities or threats  
  • Full ownership for dedicated strategic projects with high-impact, i.e.
    • developing a strategy recommendation for a specific product category or segment
    • performing strategy reviews of selected group subsidiaries or network banks
    • assessing the potential of a new market
    • providing a second opinion on existing strategies of other group units
    • re-defining business and operating models,
    • project management of selected implementation projects of strategic relevance, etc.
  • Leadership and guidance for more junior team members staffed on strategy projects
  • High visibility and exposure to RBI top management
  • Close alignment with other group units on strategy-related matters
  • Preparation of information and decision-making documents for RBI’s top management
  • Structuring of group-wide strategy workshops


Your core competencies

  • An advanced degree in finance, business administration or related areas
  • Proven track record of independently leading complex strategy projects; significant previous work experience with a strategy consulting company is a bonus
  • Min. 4-7 years of experience in the banking industry, ideally in a strategy or business development function, or in a consultancy
  • Ambition, proactivity and willingness to take on responsibility
  • Structured, independent way of working and “out of the box thinking”
  • Outstanding analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in a very senior environment
  • Open mindedness, a positive personality and strong communication and team playing skills
  • Perfect command of the English language; German or CEE language is of advantage
