AI Strategy Lead (f/m/x) - Retail Strategy & Business Transformation, RBI Group

Join a team that shapes the future of Retail Business across RBI Group. As AI Strategy Lead you will drive RBI’s Retail AI roadmap. The role sits at the intersection of strategy, AI transformation, use case enablement, driving group-wide standards on data, integration and business context, we well as execution diligence. You will answer the question “how does AI support and accelerate our vision of building the Digital Bank with Human Touch”? 

Your mission at RBI: 

• Own and coordinate the Retail AI roadmap across RBI Group, ensuring alignment with Retail Acquire-Engage-Monetize strategy and ongoing transformation initiatives 
• Shape the future operating model for AI in Retail, balancing innovation speed with scalability, reuse, and regulatory compliance 
• Patterns and blueprints identification to foster reuse and faster scaling 
• Coordinate with network banks to prioritize, sequence, and scale Retail Agentic/AI use cases, avoiding duplication and maximizing group synergies 
• Work together with Retail Strategy & Digital Transformation, Retail Data & AI Delivery Team, CIO area and AI CoE to define standards (architecture, data, connectivity) building on already well-established standards  
• Drive communication and adoption of AI in Retail in coordination with PCO area 
• Monitor emerging AI and agentic trends and assess their strategic relevance for RBI Retail 
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g.; EU AI Act readiness) and ethical AI principles and governance frameworks 
• Build internal AI literacy across leadership and business teams  
• Drive standardization and adoption of AI standards e.g. data, platforms, AI Ops with technology leaders 

Core competencies: 

• Proven experience in strategy, transformation, or product roles at the intersection of business and technology (typically 3+ years), ideally within financial services 
• Strong understanding of AI, agentic systems, modern data management, API/MCP connectivity 
• Experience working with data, AI, IT and architecture teams  
• Knowledge about Retail banking business (products, customer segments, channels, market trends) 
• Ability to structure complex problem spaces, define roadmaps, and align diverse stakeholders around a common direction 
• Strategic mindset combined with execution focus: comfortable moving from vision to concrete initiatives, milestones, and KPIs 
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills; fluent English required, German is an advantage 

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of AI governance and regulatory topics (e.g., EU AI Act, model risk, data privacy)  
• Practical experience with classic ML and GenAI/agentic AI (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar; RAG; prompt/context engineering) 
• Software engineering foundations: APIs, microservices, containers, testing 
• Experience with data analytics, Databricks, cloud data platforms
