DevOps Engineer for Data Platform (f/m/x)

As a Data Platform Engineer, you are responsible for the platform that supports all Data Engineering Teams - dealing with DWH and BI
solutions - with environments, tools and patterns to build and run our data ecosystem. It includes building CI/CD pipelines, managing
infrastructure, and delivering developer-to-developer tools that help data engineering teams move faster and more reliably. You are
part of a department within the Raiffeisen Group IT GmbH that takes care of all the Data requests from the Raiffeisen Building Society
Savings and Loans ("Raiffeisen Bausparkasse").

 

Your Mission:

 

  • Develop self-service environments and tools for monitoring with close interaction with the Site Reliability Engineering Team
  • Enhance and improve the tool set that supports engineering teams in all phases of the software development lifecycle (eg Test
    automation, CI/CD-Pipeline, Quality-Checks, Job-Control)
  • Address demands and issues to be compliant with IT Security standards
  • Contribute in technical Proof-of-concepts, prototypes, spikes and evaluation of open source software

 

Your core competencies:

 

  • Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
  • Experience with Linux and Bash; comfortable with shell scripting and troubleshooting Linux systems.
  • Familiarity with config management (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Salt)
  • Familiarity with Docker
  • Experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • You have very good English skills (at least on level C1)

 

Nice to have:

 

  • Coding experience in a high-level language such as Python or Java
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of testing automation (unit, integration, end-to-end tests) in pipelines
  • Basic knowledge in Agile Methodology (Scrum)
