Director (PPP Focus) - Project & Structured Finance (f/m/x)

Are you a customer-oriented, committed, hands-on team player and financing professional? Do you want to work on exciting and impactful infrastructure projects? As a director you will take on a pivotal role in the origination, structuring, arrangement, execution, and monitoring of project & infrastructure financing transactions with a focus on public private partnerships (PPP). In this position, you will be an integral member of the Project and Structured Finance (PSF) department. It is dedicated to supporting our clients with complex financing solutions across CEE and W-Europe. You will work closely together with large corporates, infrastructure investors, international financial institutions, public authorities, professional advisors, and other European and global banks assisting in arranging and executing PPP transactions.

 

Your mission at RBI

 

  • As dedicated PPP expert identify and pursue new PPP financing opportunities in close cooperation with local teams of RBI’s Network Banks across CEE.
  • Support the preparation of bids and financing proposals with RBI’s full range of lending solutions.
  • Lead and manage the financial analysis of PPP projects, including risk assessment, cash flow projections, sensitivity analysis, and financial feasibility.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of relevant project agreements and financing terms.
  • Coordinate due diligence activities with legal, financial, and technical teams.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, such as relevant public authorities, private sector investors, financial institutions, advisors, and contractors. 
  • Closely collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders (client coverage, credit risk, legal, tax, DCM, ECM, syndication, and compliance).
  • Stay ahead of the latest trends, developments, and best practices in the PPP sector.
  • Share knowledge and insights within the team and across RBI Group’s Network Banks by educating local stakeholders on PPP matters (client coverage, credit risk, syndication, legal, etc.).
  • Present transactions to Heads of Division, the Group Investment Committee and Credit Committee

 

Your core competencies

 

  • Successfully completed studies in business administration, finance, or economics. Professional certification (such as CFA, CPA, or PMP) is a plus.
  • Several years of relevant (“hands-on”) experience in PPP project & infrastructure financing, preferably in an advisory, finance, or investment banking role.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully structuring and closing PPP transactions in various sectors and regions, such as transportation, energy, water, health, and education.
  • Good communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Solid financial modeling, analysis, and valuation skills, as well as profound knowledge of relevant legal loan documentation standards and experience in negotiating complex legal contracts.
  • Fluency in English; CEE language skills are an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel and - as transactions require - work directly with colleagues on-location in our CEE Network Bank offices.
