Head of Group Financial Steering (f/m/x)

Group Financial Steering is a key department as part of RBI Group´s CFO Area. It combines Group and Local (Austrian) functions under one department. Under the Group function, the department steers RBI Group from a financial performance point of view and strives to optimize the usage of financial resources. Under the Local function, the department covers standard controlling activities for RBI AG (Austrian Holding bank and Austrian Business bank), including reporting, planning and financial steering. The department collaborates closely with key stakeholders and decision makers across the entire group.

Your role at RBI:

• Lead a team of experts with focus on financial steering, resource allocation, planning, reporting and strategic analysis (appx. 12 FTEs).
• Define a financial steering framework for entire RBI Group
• Co-design the resource allocation framework
• Co-design the strategic KPIs framework
• Operate the controlling function for RBI Groups holding function in Austria and the Austrian business bank, covering reporting, planning and steering
• Partner with business lines on strategic and financial aspects and strengthen the cooperation with all group-wide business areas.
• Provide transparency on key financial developments to senior decisions makers and make recommendations that help the group to drive growth and profitability while maintaining a healthy risk profile.
• Conduct deep-dive profitability analysis and contribute or lead projects with strategic relevance for RBI group from a Finance point of view.
• Co-define and streamline the finance processes from data and IT infrastructure perspective in cooperation with respective divisions and departments within RBI Group.
• Co-define the Controlling and FTP framework for RBI Group in cooperation with respective divisions and departments within RBI Group.

Your core competencies:

• You have an university degree in Finance or similar fields.
• You bring several years of experience in Banking with an in-depth understanding of bank steering, finance, controlling and treasury.
• Knowledge of Funds Transfer Pricing methodology (FTP).
• You bring proven leadership experience that drives team success.
• Pro-activeness, adaptability, and a strong desire for continuous learning and development.
• Ability to handle changing situations effectively and a proactive approach towards personal growth.
• Ability to communicate complex topics in an understandable and structured way, as well as possessing presentation skills.
• Excellent command of English, any other language is a plus.
