Head of Institutional Sales CEE & International (f/m/x)

The Head of Institutional Sales CEE & International is responsible for leading a team of experienced sales colleagues with the main focus to market and distribute capital markets products to institutional clients located in CEE, UK, Asia and Western European countries. The key emphasis is on fixed income instruments including derivatives. In alignment with other product sales units and the Head of Capital Markets Sales, other instruments may also be cross-sold to institutional clients.

 

Your mission at RBI:

 

  • Drive the distribution of primary and secondary market fixed income instruments in hard and CEE currencies, including private placements and derivatives, to institutional clients
  • Analyze client needs and market trends to develop sales strategies that broaden the client base, increase cross-selling potential and enhance overall profitability
  • Foster close collaboration and strategic alignment with various departments to define sales strategies and provide state-of-the-art solutions to clients
  • Partner with the Data Analytics team to develop and leverage client data analysis tools, optimizing and tailoring client approaches and product offerings
  • Cultivate and deepen client relationships through regular contacts and visits, highlighting RBI’s strengths in the capital markets and solutions, including discussions on strategic topics and cooperation opportunities
  • Define and implement sales initiatives in alignment with institutional client relationship managers, applying a structured sales approach supported by processes, tools and data analytics
  • Continuously review and expand the client portfolio, enhancing cross-selling opportunities and profitability
  • Lead and motivate a team of 5+ experienced professionals, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Coordinate with local sales teams within RBI’s subsidiary banks to ensure alignment and support across the RBI Group Fixed Income value chain

 

Your core competencies:

 

  • Several years of relevant experience in fixed income sales, capital markets, or related financial services
  • Proven experience in actively managing international fixed income clients, with proficiency in relevant platforms (e.g. MarketAxess and Tradeweb)
  • Ability to lead diverse teams and cultivate a collaborative, adaptable work environment
  • Passion for driving the growth of RBI’s CEE and international business through collaboration with key stakeholders and fostering a growth mindset within the team
  • In-depth knowledge of financial markets, capital markets products and assets classes, with a comprehensive understanding of various risk types and principles
  • Proven track-record of exceptional sales performance, including the ability to establish and maintain effective client relationships
  • Advanced knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g. MiFID II, MIFIR)
  • Solid analytical, technical, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify and address market trends, risks, and business opportunities
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across product, relationship management, and other departments
  • Good communication skills, fluent in English; proficiency in CEE languages is an advantage
