Head of Special Exposures Management Risk & Operations (f/m/x)

Your role at RBI:
- Lead and manage a team (SEM Risk and Operations) with direct report to the head of department of primary workout of RBI AT, including responsibility for booking and loan‑administration tasks under GSEM for RBI AG, and support the development of team members.
- Guide and act as contact point for SEM and internal stakeholders in the implementation and booking of restructurings, defaults, forbearance, and impairments in line with IFRS 9 and regulatory requirements for RBI AG.
- Translate regulatory and internal developments into internal directives and maintain them on a periodic basis.
- Serve as point of contact for internal and external audits and coordinate resulting actions.
- Provide operational expertise in translating complex restructuring situations into feasible solutions during restructuring negotiations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, including automation and AI‑related enhancements.
- Provide expertise related to distressed‑loan operations and support the team in daily tasks and prioritization.
- Ensure accurate translation of complex deals into internal systems, coordinate with stakeholders, and safeguard correct data reporting.
- Coordinate data‑ and process‑related responsibilities across the team.
Your core competencies:
- Degree in business administration and relevant experience in banking/finance related to loan servicing, loan administration, or restructuring.
- Knowledge of IFRS 9 and topics related to compliance, counterparty risk, country risk, and operational risk.
- High affinity for the broad range of regulatory basics (e.g. EBA, ECB, EU; particularly focused around default, forebearance and impairment), as well as related internal processes
- Practical experience with MS Office, especially Excel, combined with accurate data handling and reporting capabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively, take initiative, and maintain customer orientation.
- Structured approach to work and interest in exploring and applying new technologies.
- Communication skills in English for daily internal collaboration.
