Head of Wealth & Insurance (f/m/x)

As our new Group-wide Head of Wealth and Insurance, you will lead the development of an integrated wealth and insurance proposition across RBI Group — helping customers invest, save, protect what matters, and plan for the future with confidence. This newly created role is a key opportunity to build scalable, customer-centred solutions across investments, savings, advisory, bancassurance, pensions and protection. You will work closely with our network banks, business units and strategic partners to turn a strong regional ambition into locally relevant propositions that create measurable customer and business impact. Your role at RBI:

• Define and lead RBI’s regional product and proposition strategy for Wealth and Insurance, in close cooperation with senior management, network banks and relevant Group functions.
• Identify growth opportunities across Central and Eastern Europe by assessing customer segments, market maturity, investable assets, savings behaviour, insurance penetration and competitive dynamics.
• Develop customer-centric propositions across savings, investments, advisory services, pension and retirement solutions, protection products, insurance-based investment products and wealth planning, also including digital assets.  
• Design scalable products and journeys that combine digital self-service, data-driven insights, AI-enabled capabilities and high-quality human advice where customers need additional support.
• Build and manage strategic partnerships with insurers, asset managers, investment firms, fintechs, digital asset companies and other specialist providers to strengthen RBI’s proposition and customer value.
• Establish strong governance, risk and regulatory standards for wealth and insurance offerings, including product oversight, suitability, target-market definition, customer value, transparency and sustainable customer outcomes. 
• Lead implementation across relevant network banks, coordinate cross-functional delivery teams, monitor performance, resolve dependencies and promote best-practice sharing across the RBI Group.
  
  

Your core competencies:

• Extensive leadership experience in wealth management, insurance distribution, bancassurance, investment products or related financial-services proposition.  
• Proven track record and experience in product and proposition development across affluent, emerging-affluent, mass-affluent, retail and selected small-business customer segments.
• Strong digital mindset, including experience with digital customer journeys, data-driven proposition development and AI-enabled service or advisory models.
• Excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, network banks, partners and cross-functional teams across countries.
• Collaborative, inclusive and resilient leadership style, with the ability to build high-performing, cross-functional/country teams and drive transformation in a complex regional environment.
• Deep understanding of relevant regulatory requirements such as MiFID, Insurance Distribution Directive, PRIIPs, MiCA, product governance, consumer protection, suitability and AML-related controls.
• University degree and advanced English skills.

• Competitive salary: In accordance with Austrian legal requirements, the minimum salary for this position is EUR 79.200,00 gross per year under the applicable Banking Collective Agreement. The actual salary is typically higher and will be determined individually based on your qualifications, professional experience, and the specific requirements of the role.
