Junior Quantitative Credit Risk Analyst (f/m/x)

The position is within the Rating Delivery Tribe in the Impairment Team, which is part of the Group Risk Controlling division.

 

The core competence of the Impairment Team is to calculate and communicate impairments for the RBI Group. We run the monthly production for IFRS 9 Stage 1 & 2 non-retail impairments and produce reports for all portfolios for the RBI Group. Additionally, we are responsible for respective central governance, processes, and methodologies. Our team maintains ongoing exchange with various departments to incorporate the current economic situation and developments into impairments.

 

To strengthen our team, we are seeking a candidate with a background in finance or credit risk who can fulfill the following tasks.
 

Your mission at RBI: 

 

  • Calculate RBI Group wide expected losses with in-house solution (in R and Python)
  • Interact with finance and risk departments at the head office and across the network
  • Analyze economic trends and integrate this analysis into the forward-looking information of IFRS 9 impairment
  • Report impairments and risk costs using Power BI, including communication of results to internal and external stakeholders
  • Execute projects, ensuring effective communication with internal and external parties
  • Contribute to the enhancement and streamlining of our central governance processes

 

Your core competencies:

 

  • Relevant experience in credit risk or finance
  • Basic understanding of banking financial statements (balance sheet and P&L) with proficiency in data abstraction and interpretation for different stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, analytical, coordination, and presentation skills
  • Proven capabilities in analytical thinking and problem-solving
  • Team player with high task commitment and independent working style
