Junior Research Analyst Quantitative Economics (f/m/x)

In this position, you will play a key role in delivering economic analysis to both internal and external clients. We are looking for a candidate who enjoys working with data, developing economic models, and giving presentations. Your mission at RBI:

 

  • Be a vital part of the entire life cycle of data driven economics analysis projects
  • Gather economic and financial data from various sources
  • Apply transformations and utilize data to provide insights by developing or improving statistical models
  • Perform scenario analysis, shock simulations, and model climate risks for macroeconomic variables
  • Collaborate with colleagues from NWUs and other departments
  • Organize alignment meetings and take a key role in presenting model results to various stakeholders

 

Your core competencies:

 

  • Successfully completed studies equipping you with a solid quantitative skill set in areas such as Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics or Finance
  • Proficient understanding of economic principles and data
  • Coding skills in either R or Python
  • Interest in macro and financial markets forecasting
  • Eagerness to pursue further training for professional development

 

Nice to Have:

 

  • Proficiency in German
  • Familiarity with capital market applications, including Bloomberg and LSEG
  • Understanding of monetary policy, interest rates markets, and exchange rates
