Professional KYC Officer (f/m/x)

The KYC team ensures compliant customer due diligence for corporate and institutional clients across the RBI Group, covering onboarding, periodic reviews, and offboarding in line with regulatory requirements (e.g. AML, FATCA, CRS). The team works closely with internal stakeholders and contributes to the continuous development of Group KYC standards and processes.

As a Professional KYC Officer, you manage end-to-end KYC activities for corporate and institutional clients, including complex and higher-risk cases. You ensure complete and high-quality documentation, timely processing, and appropriate escalation, while actively contributing to process improvements and team knowledge sharing.

 

Your role at RBI:

 

  • Execute end-to-end KYC / FATCA / CRS activities for onboarding, periodic reviews, ad-hoc requests, including high-risk customers, in line with internal policies and regulatory expectations
  • Daily client contact (phone, email, in person)
  • Adhering to applicable laws and regulations, as well as internal bank policies; track regulatory changes relevant to KYC/AML and reflect updates in daily work
  • Manage and maintain the documentation quality of your assigned portfolio (completeness, consistency, audit readiness)
  • Maintaining KYC data in internal databases
  • Support audits by preparing information and responding to requests from internal/external auditors
  • Support junior colleagues
  • Maintain and update team knowledge resources and contribute to internal knowledge sharing (e.g., trainings)
  • Identify process gaps and propose improvements, including cooperation with technology stakeholders to incorporate user/client feedback
  • Contribute to projects linked to regulatory change, technology updates, or process optimization initiatives

 

Your core competencies:

 

  • Several years of experience in KYC, AML, or a comparable compliance-related function
  • Practical knowledge of relevant regulatory topics such as AML, FATCA/CRS, and MiFID (depending on scope of the portfolio)
  • Experience working with KYC workflows, documentation standards, and case-based escalation paths
  • Experience supporting process improvements (e.g., simplifying workflows, improving tooling, clarifying guidance)
  • Ability to structure information, document decisions clearly, and coordinate with stakeholders across Compliance, Front Office, Operations, and IT
  • English and German proficiency (C1 level)
