SAP Payroll Application Manager (f/m/x)

In Agile Delivery Accounting & HR, our “Finance Operations & Innovation” Tribe expands and enhances the accounting and payroll platforms according to the strategic finance roadmap. 
As an agile tribe, we work with state-of-the-art technologies in an accounting and payroll environment (e.g., SAP S/4HANA for general ledger accounting, SAP Employee Central Payroll). The “Finance Operations & Innovation” Tribe is the partner for financial data, analytics, and operational processes within the group and other financial tribes. Together with our business colleagues, we ensure the operation and end-to-end IT delivery chain.

 

Your role at RBI

 

  • Be an active contributing member of the agile cross functional payroll team, and act as a liaison between business and IT to ensure integration and alignment of payroll processes with other SAP modules and RBI business processes
  • Configure, implement, and maintain SAP Payroll modules to meet business requirements
  • Analyze and document business processes (requirements) related to payroll
  • Continuous operation and improvements for SAP Payroll processes, including resolving payroll-related issues, implementing improvements for efficiency gains, and ensuring a stable service
  • Collaborate with IT colleagues and the test manager to ensure that the system operations / upgrades (e.g. service pack upgrades) are properly planned, implemented and tested with high-quality product features
  • Incorporate operational standards to comply with industry regulations (“IT controls”) and best practices and facilitate meaningful documentation.
  • Actively participate in IT audits and reviews, and regularly monitoring and updatinge internal IT process documentations


Your core competencies

 

  • Work experience in configuring and implementing SAP Payroll and HCM solutions in the DACH region
  • Comprehensive knowledge of SAP Payroll modules (including payroll processing, time management) in the DACH region
  • Basic understanding of business analysis and handling requirements and requirement analysis
  • Cooperative collaboration in an agile team, with both IT and payroll colleagues
  • Fluent English language skills for collaboration with IT and business departments
  • Experience with IT audit operation processes
     

Nice to have

 

  • Experience with SAP HCM (Human Capital Management) modules
  • Experience in the operational management of Payroll 
  • Knowledge in IT SLAs, budget management and understanding of financial IT application architecture
  • Understanding of cyber security and IT risk requirements within a regulated environment
  • Experience to working as part of an agile organization
  • Understanding of cyber security and IT risk requirements within a regulated environment
  • German would be considered an advantage
