Senior Backend Developer (f/m/x) with Business Analysis & AI Expertise

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer (f/m/x) in the customer onboarding and lifecycle management area who combines strong development skills with the ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into effective solutions. The ideal candidate is also an AI enthusiast, capable of leveraging AI to accelerate and enhance development.

 

Your mission at RBI:

  • Utilize AI technologies to speed up feature development; create prototypes and proposals for solution migrations
  • Develop, improve, and maintain backend systems using Go and Java within a Kubernetes environment
  • Design APIs, event-driven architectures, and event schemas
  • Work with event streaming and event sourcing (Apache Pulsar)
  • Implement microservices and Functions as a Service (FaaS)
  • Automate integration, testing, and deployment processes using declarative GitOps (ArgoCD)
  • Collaborate in requirements analysis; support Product Owners by clarifying system capabilities and constraints
  • Operate within an international agile team alongside business analysts, frontend developers, testers, and DevOps

 

Your core competencies:

  • Several years of experience in software development
  • Adaptability and strong interest to integrate AI with various projects
  • Ability to present prototypes or concepts to senior management 
  • Pro-active, creative attitude and team orientation
  • Excellent communication skill
  • Structured working approach and problem solving skills
  • Very good command of English (mandatory), German is a plus

  • Competitive salary: In accordance with Austrian legal requirements, the minimum salary for this position is EUR 3725,93 gross per month under the applicable Banking Collective Agreement. The actual salary is typically higher and will be determined individually based on your qualifications, professional experience, and the specific requirements of the role.
