Senior Business Compliance Officer (f/m/x) - Full time

The Business Compliance unit within the Corporate & Investment Banking Board area is dedicated to steering our operations from a material Compliance perspective. Our primary objective is to ensure sustainable business growth with counterparties that align with our compliance risk appetite. Additionally, this unit is responsible for developing tools to assess clients from a material compliance perspective.

The  Group Business Compliance Development Team is seeking an experienced, client-oriented, and proactive professional willing to take on the responsibility for ensuring compliant business practices with clients, particularly within the Institutional Clients portfolio.

 

Your role at RBI:

 

  • Ensure compliant business with clients based on Business Compliance Framework
  • Implement the Business Compliance Framework for RBI Group and coordinate relationship managers and the NWUs during the implementation
  • Review client onboardings to ensure that potential clients and their businesses align with the established compliance risk appetite
  • Manage the client life cycle with respect to coherency screening, adverse media hit handling and client cooperation
  • Support development and harmonization of material due-diligence steps for Institutional Clients and Corporate Customers within the compliance related client life cycle management, including adverse media screening, coherency screening, relationship reviews, etc.
  • Execute Business Compliance related projects in specific areas with a focus on digitalization and innovation
  • Promptly identify clients outside our aligned risk appetite and proactively advise relationship managers
  • Handle ad-hoc requests and prepare data and reports
  • Provide training and workshops for both external and internal clients

 

Your core competencies:

 

  • Several years of experience in compliance roles within financial institutions (Relationship Management, KYC, Business Compliance, Group Compliance)
  • Good understanding of the specifics within the CIB customers portfolio
  • Proven experience in coordination and project-oriented work
  • Interest in regulatory and Compliance matters, coupled with a solid understanding of the legal & regulatory frameworks within which financial institutions operate
  • High level of client orientation and effective communication skills while engaging with clients
  • A solution-orientated, hands-on mentality supported by critical thinking, curiosity and a proactive approach
  • Proficient in both English and German
