Senior Restructuring Manager (f/m/x) - International Clients

As Senior Restructuring Manager – International Clients, you will lead the assessment, structuring, negotiation and implementation of complex restructuring, workout and recovery solutions for high-exposure international corporate clients across RBI's network. You will work on some of the bank's most challenging situations, involving cross-border financings, multi-bank creditor groups, private equity sponsors, investors, advisors and senior management teams.

Your role at RBI:  

• Lead complex restructuring and workout cases from initial assessment through negotiation, implementation and monitoring.
• Develop recovery and deleveraging strategies that restore sustainable debt-service capacity while protecting the bank's risk position.
• Drive negotiations with borrowers, shareholders, private equity sponsors, lending syndicates, advisors and legal counsel.
• Manage high-profile international transactions involving complex financing structures, multiple products and diverse stakeholder groups.
• Assess and challenge restructuring proposals from commercial, financial and legal perspectives and formulate recommendations for senior decision-makers.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to achieve consensus-driven and value-maximising restructuring outcomes.
• Contribute to portfolio steering, NPE reduction initiatives, recovery optimisation and strategic risk management activities.
• Mentor colleagues, share restructuring expertise and contribute to the continuous development of workout and restructuring practices across the organisation.
• Support strategic transformation initiatives, including innovation and AI-related projects within Group Special Exposures Management.

Your core competencies: 

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Law or a related discipline.
• 10 + years of professional experience in corporate finance, trade finance, project finance, risk management and/or relationship management.
• At least 3 years of experience in corporate restructuring, workout or special situations management.
• Experience in leading projects, transactions or teams in complex environments.
• Advanced financial analysis, restructuring, negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Professional communication skills in English. 
• Proactive way of working, ownership in resolving issues, and a “thinking out of the box” mindse

Experience considered an advantage:

• German language skills
• Complex international corporate restructurings and turnarounds.
• Leveraged Acquisition Finance (LAF), Leveraged Buyouts (LBOs) and sponsor-backed transactions.
• M&A financing, refinancing and debt restructuring transactions.
• Multi-bank lender negotiations and syndicated financing structures.
• Working with private equity sponsors, debt funds, restructuring advisors and legal counsel.
• Distressed debt, special situations investing, NPE management or recovery strategies.

• Competitive salary: In accordance with Austrian legal requirements, the minimum salary for this position is EUR 3.725,93 gross per month under the applicable Banking Collective Agreement. The actual salary is typically higher and will be determined individually based on your qualifications, professional experience, and the specific requirements of the role.
