Solution Architect (f/m/x)

You will assume the role of Solution Architect for our group's Kubernetes-based runtime platform in the cloud for modern applications, Mercury. 

As a Solution Architect, you will drive adoption of our by building strategies and supporting product teams. Your technical expertise and communication skills will represent Mercury across tribes, while you advise engineers and users on maintaining healthy environments. Strong user relationships will help you identify needs and deliver maximum value from the platform. 

Additionally, you will be hands-on in the ongoing development of the Mercury Platform, working as an integral part of the engineering team. By actively contributing to technical solutions and collaborating closely with your peers, you will lead by example and set high standards for quality and innovation.

  • Regularly analyze our platform environments and provide recommendations to optimise the use of Mercury
  • Lead the internal Security Chapter and ensure compliance with security standards
  • Steer the Solution Architecture of the platform in close alignment with CTO team 
  • Monitor the cloud native computing landscape and promote adoption
  • Act as an advocate for our internal engineering teams by understanding their objectives and use cases, then recommending process improvements, product adoption, configurations, and additional features to address their requirements
  • Work collaboratively with the Mercury product owner and platform feature teams to identify potential new features
  • Consistently enhance best practices to support Mercury adoption and drive customer success
  • Working with a diverse team and applying agile and DevOps practices
  • Facilitate the onboarding of new customers to the account management platform and provide support in stakeholder relations and technical account management 
  • Deliver outstanding user or customer support

 

 Your core competencies: 

 

  • Willing to collaborate positively with other teams
  • Profound experience using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), virtualization, and container technologies
  • Expertise in Kubernetes and the CNCF ecosystem 
  • Extensive knowledge of security concepts and solutions 
  • Own your code and product with end-to-end accountability
  • Over five years of professional experience in software development
  • Strong infrastructure, networking, and OS knowledge 
  • Demonstrates strong expertise in CI/CD and GitOps methodologies and related tools, including GitHub, ArgoCD, or similar
  • Proficient in either Java, Python or Go software development and skilled in scripting with Bash, Python, and more. 
  • Having an agile mindset 
  • Excellent English required; German preferred
