Summer Internship (f/m/x) - Retail Risk Validation (July - September)

Are you interested in credit risk models, adept at identifying and solving model issues, keen on finding the balance between theoretical and practical aspects? Ready to defend your expert views? If so, we want you for our Retail Risk Validation team.
We specialize in validating retail credit risk models, setting and updating standards, and overseeing model governance to manage RBI’s retail model portfolio.

You are...

• studying at a university or university of applied sciences
• someone with a strong quantitative background and first experience in programming in R, Python or SAS
• fluent in English (min. C1)
• available to work fulltime (38,5h/week) for 3 months from 01.07.2026 to 30.09.2026

These Tasks are waiting for you: 

• Support in validation automation by coding of statistical tests in R or Python (optimising, bug-fixing, documenting)
• Support in performing the model validation of the Group level economic capital model and its components     
• Contribution to retail credit risk model governance (getting an overview of RBI's model landscape)
• Gaining insights to applications of AI to validation process automation
