AI Developer - AI Enablement Lead (f/m/x)
Our team develops and supports the AI solutions (data products, data solutions) for the Austrian subsidiaries of the Raiffeisen Bank International Group. We aim to deliver the "Best in Class AI and data Solutions" and rely on innovative cloud technologies to do so. We have already achieved initial successes on the path to cloudification of our products. We want to build on these successes and implement further solutions for all customer groups with end-to-end responsibility.
Your mission:
- Lead the adoption of AI in software development across teams (AI-assisted engineering, agentic workflows) and act as a hands-on technical coach.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve AI-enabled development standards (prompting patterns, coding assistant usage, review/testing automation) aligned with governance and security requirements.
- Guide and onboard development teams: run enablement sessions, provide office-hours, and support teams in applying AI tools effectively in day-to-day delivery.
- Build and maintain quality assurance measures such as automated tests, AI-supported code reviews, and engineering guardrails to improve reliability and speed.
- Develop and integrate AI capabilities into products and internal platforms (e.g., copilots, RAG components, evaluation/observability, developer tooling).
- Drive a culture of continuous learning: proactively challenge and enable team members to reach the common vision of “Best in Class AI and data Solutions”.
Your core competencies:
- Strong software engineering background with hands-on experience in building production-grade services; solid understanding of testing methodologies, microservices, and (ideally) vector databases.
- Deep practical experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI ecosystems (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) and the ability to design AI-assisted SDLC workflows (coding, testing, review, documentation) with human-in-the-loop quality.
- Proficient with modern engineering toolchains and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Git) and able to establish reusable standards, templates, and best practices across teams.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken) with strong communication and facilitation skills to guide, onboard, and coach engineers and stakeholders.
- Experience with microservices and containers, plus a coaching mindset (hands-on support, knowledge transfer, onboarding concepts).
Nice to have:
- Cloud experience especially with Amazon Web Services / Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with the development of office applications.

- Salary: This position offers an annual gross salary of EUR 64.554, --(full-time). We will align on your final compensation during the hiring process, based on your experience and qualifications.
