Join us as a Core Banking Quality Assurance Engineer and play a key role in maintaining and improving the quality of our back-office systems.
Your mission:
- Quality Leadership: Foster a quality-first mindset within core banking feature teams and act as the interface between the core QE team and developers.
- Test Planning & Execution: Plan and execute ad-hoc, exploratory, risk-based, manual and automated tests for all involved systems, APIs, and integrations, ensuring reliability across both legacy and modern systems.
- Business Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to clarify requirements, define quality gates, and coordinate testing efforts.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain and update test plans, test cases, and evidence in line with compliance standards (e.g., ITPF 3.0).
- Monitoring & Reporting: Set up dashboards to track quality metrics, report progress, and identify areas for improvement.
- Release Support: Ensure all releases meet quality standards with proper test coverage and documentation.
Your core competencies:
- Experience: 3+ years in testing frontend and backend systems, APIs, and integrations, with exposure to both legacy and modern systems. Familiarity with test management tools (Zephyr), Git, and basic test automation principles and tools (Robotframework)
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of backend testing methodologies and API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger UI), familiarity with GUI and CLI testing applications, some scripting skills (shell script, SQL, Windows Batch...)
- Agile Expertise: Experience working in Agile environments and understanding of SDLC. ISTQB certification is a plus.
- Personal Traits: Excellent communication skills in both German and English (C1 minimum), analytical mindset, detail-oriented, proactive, and a team player.
