Data Engineer (f/m/x)

Your mission:

  • Development and maintenance of scalable and robust data pipelines for processing large and heterogeneous data volumes (Regulatory Reporting & Data Warehouse).
  • Building and maintaining Data Warehouse solutions (on-premises in MS SQL Server and cloud-based with Delta Lake/Databricks on AWS).
  • Integration and transformation of data from various sources (APIs, databases, external systems) into standardized and high-quality data products.
  • Support in implementing regulatory requirements (e.g., BCBS 239, ECB RDARR Guide), including automation, testing, and validation.
  • Participation in the introduction and integration of cloud- and microservices-based data platforms.
  • Ensuring data quality, governance, and end-to-end data lineage in close collaboration with data owners, analysts, and other stakeholders.
  • Active contribution to architectural and process decisions in the data engineering environment.

Your core competencies:

  • Several years of hands-on experience in development with Python and SQL.
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes (e.g., Delta Live Tables, dbt, Autoloader or ingestion workflows), data modeling (e.g., Unity Catalog or similar tools), database design, and understanding of best practices for ensuring data quality (e.g., monitoring technical KPIs like accuracy, completeness, timeliness).
  • Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with Big Data frameworks like Apache Spark, Kafka, or Hadoop, as well as modern platforms like Databricks.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redshift).
  • Enthusiasm for teamwork and a proactive approach to contributing to the execution of data strategies (e.g., implementing BCBS239 principles).
