Technology Manager (f/m/x)

The Technology Manager at Raiffeisen Group IT GmbH is a key leadership role responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and oversight of our technology resources. Within our Agile Leadership Model, alongside People and Delivery Management, you will connect technical innovation with business strategy to enhance competitive advantage and achieve operational excellence in our regulated setting. Reporting to the Head of our Division, this position demands profound technical knowledge, effective cross-functional collaboration, and a commitment to streamlining technology and enhancing automation and operational efficiency. #LI-DNI


Your mission:

 

  • Develop and maintain a forward-looking technology vision and roadmap that aligns technical initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Lead the design of scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions. Ensure modular architectures that facilitate the decommissioning of legacy systems and adhere to enterprise standards.
  • Act as a bridge between technology, delivery, and people management functions to promote integrated decision-making, technical transparency, and efficient communication.
  • Mentor technical teams and collaborate with people management to address skills gaps, drive continuous training, and support career development.
  • Enhance automation in IT processes and tasks to reduce technical debt and complexity. Implement best practices for system reliability, security, and performance monitoring.
  • Establish and enforce technical standards and compliance with RBI’s policies. Oversee vendor relationships and ensure external solutions integrate seamlessly with internal systems.

 

Your core competencies:

 

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in technology management or a similar role, ideally within highly regulated environments.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing IT infrastructure, with strong knowledge of modern architecture, DevOps, and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a track record of leading teams, mentoring talent, and collaborating across functions.
  • Ability to evaluate emerging technologies, develop innovative solutions, and drive continuous improvement in technology operations.
