The RBI Group IT GmbH provides IT services for RBI’s Austrian subsidiaries (i.e. Raiffeisen Capital Management, Raiffeisen Bausparkasse, Valida Pensionskasse) and is focused on the core IT applications of these business units.  

Software Architect (f/m)

In order to strengthen our existing team we are looking for an experienced Software Architect (f/m) who is capable to take leadership and responsibility for the definition and maintenance of the solution architecture within our DWH environment - including the whole transformation process from source data into DWH and to DWH consumers.  

What you can expect:

  • You´ll define the software architecture and software design of DWH integration solutions
  • You´ll participate in the pre-study phase of projects to advise business analysts and project managers
  • You´ll evaluate alternative technical solutions and support in decision making
  • You´ll estimate the development efforts and plans the technical software implementation
  • In this role, you´ll take leadership and coordinate technical software implementation teams whilst having the overall responsibility for technical project results
  • You´ll design and implement critical software components
  • As part of an agile delivery team you´ll ensure that the knowledge is shared and documented
  • You´ll act as the bridge between software and test engineers, project and test managers and business experts

What you bring to the table: 

  • 5+ years of experience in designing large/complex software architecture and applications, especially in the area of systems integration
  • Solid developer background (Java, ETL/ELT Tools, online integration, …)
  • Excellent data modelling skills
  • Very good experience in requirement engineering
  • Practical experience with agile development methods (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Good knowledge of IT infrastructure (OS, platforms, etc.) and database technology (e.g. Oracle)
  • Excellent communication - cross cultural as well as cross-hierarchical - and presentation skills
  • Experience in banking or within the financial industry is an asset
  • Very good command of English, German would be a plus
